I think my dog would benefit from hydrotherapy, how do I book a session?
Firstly, we recomend that you speak to your vet and tell them that you would like your dog to have hydrotherapy sessions.

Before any dog can swim at Bluewaters we must have received a veterinary referral form. This provides us with important information about your dog's condition and previous medical history, and enables us to tailor a treatment programme specifically for your dog.

You can download a veterinary referal form here.  Alternatively, please contact us and we will post one to you.

The first session
Your first session at Bluewaters will last approximately one hour.  During this time we will familiarise your dog with our staff, the environment and the equipment in the hydrotherapy room. Your dog will undergo a general health assesment and we will discuss the aims of your hydrotherapy sessions.

Your dog will then be showered and fitted with a flotation jacket.  Most dogs like to take a toy with them in to the pool, so before they swim your dog will be able to choose a toy.

The hydrotherapy session will only last for around three minutes on your first session - remember, this is the equivalent of a three mile run! As your dogs condition improves, the length of each session will increase to a maximum of 20 minutes.
